What's new
Improvements over its predecessor.
The new Strix G17 is powered by AMD Ryzen™ 9 7945HX, the top-of-the-line mobile gaming chip from AMD. It has an excellent 5.4 GHz boost speed to boost gaming framerate, and with 16 cores and 32 threads, makes it the best multitasking machine.
The new ROG Strix G17 has finally come with a top-mounted 720p webcam that allows you to join video chat or streaming.
What's missing
Downsides over its predecessor.
The FHD option on the new 2023 ROG Strix G17 only has a 144Hz refresh rate panel.
Unlike the G16 and G18 uses a taller 16:10 aspect ratio display, the Strix G17 still rocks the same old 16:9 display as its predecessors.
