It also has other great features and high-performance components, including:

Supports up to 2 x 2TB PCIe Gen 4x4 SSD.
Shipped with Windows 11 Pro.

The new ROG Strix SCAR 17 finally comes with a top-mounted 720p webcam that allows you to join video chat or streaming.

Comes with a larger 330W power adapter

What's missing

Downsides over its predecessor.

The new 2023 models didn't ship with additional Armor Caps for customization.

The new ROG Strix SCAR 17 only has two stereo speakers instead of the four speakers on its predecessor.

By switching to AMD processors, the new 2023 ROG Strix SCAR 17 no longer has Thunderbolt 4.

The new 2023 model only has Aura Sync Light Bar and Per-Key RGB keyboard.

The 2023 ROG Strix SCAR 17 has less versatile I/O connectivity than the 2022 ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition. It has only six versus seven commonly used ports and slots on the 2022 ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition.
