Intel Core i9-13980HX inside 2023 ROG Strix SCAR 16 has a 84% better multi-core CPU performance score than the Intel Core i9-12900H inside 2022 ROG Strix SCAR 15.

In my experience, having power, USB, and video-out ports at the back of the laptop helps reduce cable clutters when connecting to multiple displays and peripherals, especially for desktop replacement machines like the 16-inch ROG Strix G16.

It's okay if you plan to use the laptop primarily for gaming.
