It’s been over six months since Microsoft last released a firmware update for the Surface Pro 3. Today, the company has rolled out another firmware update to devices to improve device security. Where there is no detailed about improvement specifically, it’s likely to fix vulnerabilities related to Meltdown and Spectre (via Neowin.net).
The newest firmware should be showing up now in Windows Update, and it bumps up the version numbers of Surface UEFI to 3.11.2450.0.
